Morning Musing on Celebrating a Nation
Luvlies, Good morning. Happy Canada Day. Personally, I don’t really care for this holiday, because it excludes the most important people from its celebration: The First Nations.
So I’m spending the day reviewing what I learned as a yout about the Coast Salish – Squamish people, the Ojibwe (Anishinaabe), and the Algonquin. I’ll learn more about the different styles of Wigwams built for different regions, and spend time looking at the indigenous map of the world.
Many atrocities occurred to make this day happen. A few moments of silence wouldn’t hurt either. The First Nation are owed their flowers.
