I have shared my tech job search for the last few months now. Do you want to hear about another sh*t interview or another rejection? I didn’t think so. This job hunting journey has stretched my patience to the limit and almost destroyed my self-esteem. It’s time to spice this channel up and pivot. Now that restrictions have been lifted and I’ve gone corporate, I’m ready to pivot the direction of my storyline.
Channel Change order
I want to show my subscribers more of what I can do and build community around the hobbies I love. I’m grateful to those of you who’ve stuck around. I worked hard to get my ducks in a row and well… here we are. I’m not interested in showing you the ins and out of my corporate work. It will be painfully boring. But what I can share are the things that bring me joy, like going to design and art events, dance performances and travelling the world. Lots of travel. I haven’t been out of the city in years, literally.
Making Friends IRL
Yeah, so since I didn’t get the ViddyCo, which means I have no friends (allegedly). According to the internet, the people who obeyed covid protocol and never caught it, are actually hermits who isolated themselves involuntarily because they’re anti-social tea-totalling rule followers. Now I have to attempt to make friends as an older woman without children or pets to bind me to people. GOOD TIMES!! lol.
In all seriousness, I have to make friends again. ‘Many friends’ left the city entirely and I don’t know what the real world is like anymore. Do people still know how to dance? Will my girly shoes even fit or have my feet flattened like a duck? The idea of greeting people by kissing them on each cheek, makes me want to throw-up. How was I so reckless with my health?!? Can I spray a person with hand sanitizer first before a hug? I have so many questions…
So I invite you to come along and shed the struggle channel vibes that have been plaguing me.
I’m excited about what the future holds. How about you?
