This week was definitely giving full moon energy. Hiccups, glitches… you name it, it happened. In this vlog, I talk about my early retirement plans from tech and the Toronto Public Library (TPL) hosted the legendary Dr. Angela Davis for international women’s month. I was shooketh! She’s an icon.

Her talk at the Toronto Public Library, she discussed activism relevant to the times it’s happening, accountability for old belief system and reconciliation.
She discussed cancel culture and how ‘it can be destructive in so many ways’, which I understand to an extent. One misstep shouldn’t wipe out a person’s cultural contribution entirely. But pervasive behaviour under the guise of acting as an upstanding figure in society is something else entirely. Dr. Davis holds space for her mistakes because when she knew better, she did better. That is where cancel culture is being skewed when it comes to activism. Very informative talk at the TPL.
Early retirement prep
I have to pivot away from tech, I just don’t know how to do it exactly. What does retirement in my 40s even look like? I’m not old but clearly society thinks so. I have social media platforms but I’m not using them in a way to generate money. I have a low viewership on all platforms so there has to be another way I can thrive without burning out. So I’m going to spend the next few years exploring what early retirement looks like and what I’ll need to live the second half of my life.
Then my SD card was corrupted. Definitely blaming the full moon for that one.
