Morning Musing on Dreams and Constipation
Luvlies, Good morning. Yes, I am aware the title might be off putting but there is something that NOBODY elaborates on when post-op. I am full of it… to the brim FULL of ‘IT’. Pre-op, I was consistent at 2-3 times a day because I am a fibre queen. Ever since my first fibroid removal, I go ‘numero dos’ with a certain amount of joy. There’s more space in my abdomen because the stones are gone. But 23 days post-op, I’m backed up like the Gardiner on a Friday afternoon.
It’s causing night terrors. I’m sure of it. I woke up from having the most vivid dream about an acquaintance, whose toddler was randomly singing a sad song. They had moved from their house back into a depressing apartment with lime green walls (the colour you see in a caribbean convenience store), and her husband was talking about the divorce and how he can’t pay his half of the rent. The apartment was empty and I was trying to wake myself up from this prelude to the Shining.
I haven’t had a prophetic type dream in a while. When I lived in Zurich, I’d have them all the time. It was the dense nature that would trigger these dreams. Today, it’s constipation and I don’t want to wake up feeling like an inflated balloon ready to pop.
Am I just being a big 1st world baby? Or is this something I should worry about more? I mean… I haven’t gone into stercoral colitis, but there’s a whole gray area that I’m currently in before any of that happens. Am I being like Gabby Windey, who spent a full hour on her podcast talking about her journey with the mildest case of lipedema like a hypocondriac? (She’s a 10 BTW, so if she’s complaining about her looks… we’re doomed).
Iono, it’s a lot to be in recovery from surgery AND be in a consistent state of distention. I’m going to waddle my way to Shopper’s, grab the strongest laxative they have and blow this popstand, literally.
…and that’s time. Still here? Leave your thoughts down below.
Enjoy the weekend Luvlies!
