Ontario On Fire… So We Let It Burn??

Morning Musing on Ontario Fires

Luvlies, Good morning. As you might have heard, Ontario is on fire and it’s Drug Ford’s fault. I am absolutely pointing fingers at the bloated potato head, who is trying to sell Ontario and Toronto for parts to the highest bidder because he has no friends. He has cut every important social service that is needed to combat emergencies (like in healthcare and firefighting) and pocketed the difference for himself.

I don’t intend to turn this blog into a political commentary space, because I don’t always have the information I need to form a strong opinion. BUT as someone who has a background in history, and stays current on community happenings by sitting on community boards, I have to say that the state of this province is entirely his fault. The money making centre du Canada (Toronto) did not elect this man, because we knew his family’s history of trying to destroy Toronto, yet needing to control the city to be relevant. The list of his infractions are long so bear with me as I go through a few:

Forget that he gave his unqualified kids seats on prominent hospital boards and within government, he himself has just a high school edumacation and is functionally illiterate. He and his family got into politics because they were hash dealers. This is a well known, documented fact that gets overlooked.

So when I say the fires are his fault, I mean it. When you slash funding to social-health-relief services in rural areas, sell coastlines and provincial owned companies to private organizations, and then go on a summer break from your job for 5 months – disasters are bound to happen. It has taken this man DAYS to respond to these tragedies of 180 fires, and declare a state of emergency to release federal funds to support the effected communities. He’s trying to find a way to direct the money to his newly formed private fund.

There are indigenous communities that have been burned to the ground and are lost to the ether, and we’re grieving for them.

Toronto may smell like tar and the skyline is orange, but we will recover. On the other hand, the legacy of this loser will have to be cleaned up for decades to come.

…and that’s time. Still here? Leave your comments down below.

See you soon Luvlies! Stay safe out there.

xoxo Luv Laney Luv
