Morning Musing on Ontario Fires
Luvlies, Good morning. As you might have heard, Ontario is on fire and it’s Drug Ford’s fault. I am absolutely pointing fingers at the bloated potato head, who is trying to sell Ontario and Toronto for parts to the highest bidder because he has no friends. He has cut every important social service that is needed to combat emergencies (like in healthcare and firefighting) and pocketed the difference for himself.
I don’t intend to turn this blog into a political commentary space, because I don’t always have the information I need to form a strong opinion. BUT as someone who has a background in history, and stays current on community happenings by sitting on community boards, I have to say that the state of this province is entirely his fault. The money making centre du Canada (Toronto) did not elect this man, because we knew his family’s history of trying to destroy Toronto, yet needing to control the city to be relevant. The list of his infractions are long so bear with me as I go through a few:
- He has given permission to foreign companies to destroy protected areas (the wetlands)
- He changed the law so we can’t question anything he does, by removing the Freedom of Information act.
- He has cut universal healthcare spending in order to push for privatization of healthcare.
- He’s overstepping his boundaries as a Premier to take over the Toronto District School Board, and is trying to have prime real estate schools condemned, so he can sell the land to developers.
- He had the Toronto Science Centre condemned so that he could sell the land to more developers, when the building is fine and has survived many winters without repairs.
- He has focused his energy on seizing all waterfront properties in the province and selling to foreign investors, and privatizing our water/ hydro.
- He closed parliament for a 5-months break, and the kicker is his fat ass bought a private jet with provincial money and he was forced to sell it back (we’re still waiting for confirmation ge actually did, but he’s not required to disclose it due to the change in the freedom of info act).
- He profited during covid and shared those profits with friends, while he kept us in lockdown years longer than any other country.
- He also passed a law where the province can seize land without explanation if they want to use it for transportation expansion, so people have lost their homes in Toronto, so a train can pass through the neighborhood.
Forget that he gave his unqualified kids seats on prominent hospital boards and within government, he himself has just a high school edumacation and is functionally illiterate. He and his family got into politics because they were hash dealers. This is a well known, documented fact that gets overlooked.
So when I say the fires are his fault, I mean it. When you slash funding to social-health-relief services in rural areas, sell coastlines and provincial owned companies to private organizations, and then go on a summer break from your job for 5 months – disasters are bound to happen. It has taken this man DAYS to respond to these tragedies of 180 fires, and declare a state of emergency to release federal funds to support the effected communities. He’s trying to find a way to direct the money to his newly formed private fund.
There are indigenous communities that have been burned to the ground and are lost to the ether, and we’re grieving for them.
Toronto may smell like tar and the skyline is orange, but we will recover. On the other hand, the legacy of this loser will have to be cleaned up for decades to come.

…and that’s time. Still here? Leave your comments down below.
See you soon Luvlies! Stay safe out there.
