Morning Musing on Artists and Community of The Passionate
Good morning Luvlies. Yesterday’s musing got me thinking: I don’t want to put too much negativity or impatience into the world, without context. Upon self-reflection (and re-reading some of my recent posts), I don’t think I’ve crossed into the realm of the permanently disgruntled [yet]… but it could appear as though I’m close.
Let me clarify: I am not a jaded GenXer.
In fact, I am delightfully optimistic when it comes to what the future holds. I do have a low tolerance for hateful things though. What do I mean by that?
Everyone’s existence could be magical if we allowed it to happen.

The prevailing culture of destruction, greed and sadness is sabotaging itself, rather than doing what it was intended to do. While those Men want us to believe we have no option BUT to bend to their will, there is a subtle rebellion happening. People are taking community into their own hands.
Whimsy is at an all time high, and there are delightful humans sharing theirs with us.
Platforms like Patreon and Youtube showcase the most extraordinary individuals. Watching people share their passions and skills, while being able to donate – makes my heart roar. Patreon fills me with joy because it’s a like digital busker.
Remember back in the day, those musicians who played music in the subway or at major intersections? The streets used to ring with melody because they helped us create a soundtrack for our every day. We used to stop and listen to the theme song of the neighbourhood, and support it by bequeathing the few coins we had in our pockets. There was a sense of pride when we could contribute a couple of dollars to a talented individual’s journey. We watched parents encourage their little ones to drop a toonie (a dollar in the us) into the guitar case. A small gesture that reminded us to show our gratitude to those enriching our life experience.
On platforms like Patreon or Ravelry, I’ve found people I enjoy being in digital community with. I made a short list of people who ignite bliss with their unique abilities and content. Some are full-time passionates; others have a platforms that they juggle with their regular employment.
